What is a free wedding QR code?
A wedding QR code for photos is a scannable code your guests point their phone camera at to reach one shared place for their pictures. This free wedding QR code generator creates a heart-styled code that links to any photo address you choose — a Google Drive or Dropbox folder, a shared album, or your own gallery. Guests scan and share; there is no app to download and nothing for anyone to type.
How to create a QR code for wedding photos
- Add your details. Your name, wedding date and email address — we send the finished QR code files to your inbox.
- Paste your photo link. The web address where you want guest photos to go, such as a shared Google Drive, Dropbox or album link.
- Tap “Create my free QR code”. Open the email that arrives and tap Reveal my QR code.
- Test and download. Scan the code with your own phone to check the link, then download it as print-quality SVG or a large PNG.
The whole thing takes about two minutes. If you would rather read up first, see how wedding QR codes work or our guide to making a QR code for wedding pictures.
What should your QR code link to?
Any address your guests can open in a browser: a Google Drive or Dropbox folder set to “anyone with the link can add”, a Google Photos shared album, a OneDrive folder, or a gallery you already use. Your QR code simply carries guests to that address, so pick somewhere that accepts uploads from people without accounts if you want them to add photos, not just view them.
No photo link yet? We can provide one
If you don’t have anywhere to collect photos, our €59 digital package includes the whole thing: a private gallery with unlimited guest uploads, full-quality downloads, and a free live slideshow that plays everyone’s photos on a screen during the reception — still with no app for guests.
Print it beautifully
The SVG download is print quality at any size, so your code can sit on invitations, table numbers, a welcome sign or save-the-dates. If you’d rather have it done for you, our printed wedding QR code table cards arrive ready to stand on every table, in designs like Capture the Love, Celtic Knot and Champagne Gold — browse the full range in the shop.
Free wedding QR code FAQs
Is the wedding QR code really free?
Yes. Enter your details, and the QR code arrives by email with free SVG and PNG downloads. There is no subscription and no charge — the code points at your own photo link and keeps working.
Do guests need an app to share photos?
No. Guests point their phone camera at the code and it opens in their browser. That is true of the free code and of every takeNplace package.
What link should I use for wedding photos?
A shared folder or album your guests can open in a browser — Google Drive, Dropbox, Google Photos or OneDrive all work well. Set the sharing so anyone with the link can add photos.
What if I don’t have a photo link?
Our €59 digital package provides the address for you: a private gallery with unlimited guest uploads and a free live slideshow for the reception.
Can I print the QR code on invitations and signs?
Yes. Download the SVG for print-quality results at any size, from invitations to a large welcome sign, or choose professionally printed table cards from the shop.
Does this work for weddings in Ireland and the UK?
Yes — the QR code works anywhere. takeNplace is an award-winning Irish business based in West Cork, and our printed card sets ship across Ireland and the UK.
